Aberdeen

It's downhill all the way from Braemar to Aberdeen, 60 miles away. Aberdeen is known as the granite city and the economy is based on the oil industry. It's a small city, the same kind of size as Oxford. Granite is a common building material, in both the city centre and the housing-areas around it. The city brightens up the greyness with lots of flowers in the summer.

I visited the art gallery, which was unremarkable and deservedly quiet.
